Week 3 - RSS Feeds
We have completed the exercises for this week. It has been good to find out what RSS feeds are all about. They seem to be an effective means to alert someone to information of interest. This would be useful to students and researchers interested in particular subject fields. The search facility on Bloglines was quite useful and it was relatively easy to subscribe to feeds from the search results. However, some of the topics we searched for yielded limited success. We did not find search tools from other sites to be very helpful. The week 3 exercises have been a structured introduction to RSS feeds and we now have the skills to add feeds of interest as they are found.

well done. I have to say from past experience that when you get thru weeks 3 and 4 (RSS) the rest is plain sailing. A breeze you could say.
I love the way you guys collaborate too!!
RSS feeds were the most challenging part of learning 2.0. I have had a couple of people asking to add RSS feeds to their Blogs. No idea how to do that. Always something else to learn. Well done Chip!

Cool on the RSS feed. To include an RSS feed into your blog, select the template tab and choose Add a page element, select the feed option and then cut and paste the webaddress of your rss feed into the space provided. Hope this helps. Cheers PNG
